Medical insurance like in Europe. I know so little about
International health insurance, but it seems like what they are doing there may help us here. Do any of you know how the system works in European countries? Do you see anything there that…

It is
very important to take advantage of your
Community health network for your best benefit. When
health of a person changes, we must always think of their
best benefit in their care. I think they should have plenty of say in their own care.

We moved Grandma into an Assisted Living house. It was getting to be too much work and dangerous for her to continue to stay here. Her
Medical insurance and some
Temporary medical insurance that she has a few months left on will cover some of the costs. The rest will dip into her savings. Too bad she isn't able to spent that money on herself…

I believe that my weight is the primary cause of most of my health problems. Diets don't work for me, so now I am considering
Lap band. Is that typically covered by
Medical insurance or is it an elective surgery? I am hopeful that losing weight, one way or another, will help with many issues.

Ladies,
If you're as old as me (51), you can say you "just had a senior moment" or a "brain bubble" the first time you have a fibrofog moment & people will let it go with that. After that, when you have fibrofog, you have to get more creative with your excuses, like "My brother dropped me on my head when I was a baby" or "That car wreck did more damage than I thought it did!" I also have found that I tell the same stories over and over again, using almost identically the same words. In fact,…

Please be very careful when using Twitter - it is **not secure**. Someone "hacked" and got my password, then logged onto Twitter using my "name" princessmissy1. They then, logged in as me, entered something about health and a health web site I had never heard of. Immediately I went into Twitter and changed my password, then entered a Tweet that I had been "phished" and had not entered the other Tweet with the health info. Twitter, without asking me any questions, said that "I" had violated their…

We give home care to my mother-in-law, who suffers from Alzheimers. She recently broke her arm and will be discharged from
Clarian Health Indianapolis Indiana hospital. We fear that taking care of her going forward will be too difficult. It may time to put her in an assisted living/nursing home environment. At least we got some help and a good list of resources from our
Indianapolis hospitals. Now…

Did anyone see Michael J. Fox's TV show last night on optimism? It blew me away. Facing a not-so-invisible illness, instead of going into seclusion, he goes out publicly to different areas of America, even to different countries, to find out how much optimism there is and where it comes from. Is it genetic? Is it learned? Michael's show proved that there is indeed optimism in the world. One of the most touching moments was when he climbed halfway up a huge mountain in Bhutan and unexpectedly dis…

My Christian family members came from Georgia to see us, and as usual I was so encouraged to hug each of them and thank them for our prayers. After 7 months, my husband who had been laid off has finally found a permanent job! However, I'm on my first disability appeal with Social Security and have no income. Our new mortgage company is finally working with us to lower our mortgage due to hardships. Our dog K-9 (Niney) died, but we are keeping our son's dog Bella, a pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua m…

Your Gift
Be sure to share your 'gift' today
with someone along life's way;
though it may, to that one in need,
be a gift he can not repay.
Search deep within yourself
to find those special traits,
which God has gifted especially to you,
for uplifting others today.
Reach out and touch another
with the love God has placed deep within.
For, even when your own heart is heavy,
there is one whose heart you can tend.
So remember to think of someone today
whose life you may somehow touch,
that thro…

Strength For Today
by Angela Hall Dobbins
"Keep on beginning and failing. Each time you fail, start all over a gain, and you will grow stronger until you have accomplished a purpose - not the one you began with perhaps, but one you'll be glad to remember." ~Anne Sullivan
If some of you are like me, you may have been struggling lately to remain firmly rooted in your faith and not be blown away by the storms of life, and all the frustration and confusion that comes as their result. Jesus pro…
