Profession:: Once did daycare,for years,now home.

About Me:: I'm a widow of 14 months.Looked after my husband since 91',after diving accident..left him in a wheelchair(quad.-c-7).I have had many surgeries in the past and have another one coming later this year.I suffer chronic pain for about 9 years from arthritis and other..
I don't have support and reaching the end of my rope.I struggle with everyday life and grieving my loss. One day i hope to get back to what i love to do..scrapbooking and going back to church.

What I hope to gain from this network...: Knowing others that have the same problems as myself,learn and find support from others.

Best Recommended Resource and Why: The Bible~ receive comfort,hope and knowledge to know that i will be okay!

Have you heard of Rest Ministries or HopeKeepers?: yes,but haven't been there yet..soon.

seeing a pain clinic soon...

Finally i will go to a pain clinic..will there be help for me there?

My pain levels are all over the place and some days,my pain med.'s won't work or last long.My doctor is afraid(i believe) to give stronger.Feeling helpless..

How do i answer the questions,that will come at me?I 'm told i will see a nurse first,than the doctor..for one hour.I'am stressed with so much other things in my life,i'am afraid i won't say the right thing. I need

I was shocked by how much of my brain was being used by thinking about pain. There was very little brain left to think about anything else. At least that is what Lyrica did for me. It has recently been approved for fibromyagia. I tolerate drugs poorly and was surprised it only took about a week. I did have to take sleeping pill for few nights until i adjusted. I am so sorry for all your burdens. I have had many, but, try to remember Paul and a few others in the bible. Also the one "when you can do nothing else, just stand" comes to mind. My favorite is "Be still and know that I am God". I have had no choice but to be still. Meniere"s is chronic inner ear problems with mild or severe dizziness, terrible nausea with it and a constant fullness or weight in ear. You never know when it will occur. I will pray for things to be good for you and feel strongly that one day you will find joy when you least expect it. Jackie Williams

The burden of grief on top of physical and emotional pain is a lot to bear.

I'm praying that God brings you comfort, peace, and rest today and in the days ahead. I'm praying, too, for your visit to the pain clinic. Write and let me know how it goes.
