Lisa, I'm interested in connecting with people who are offering faith-based support groups for folks who have mental illnesses and their loved ones. We've offered one through our church for seven years and have served over 1000 people. I'm the lead facilitor, and it's an all volunteer effort made up of others like me who have bipolar disorder or have a loved one who has it. Thanks.

Hello Lisa,

I have just joined this social network, because I have no one to talk to about the things that I am going through dealing with mental illness in my family. I have a sister who is bi-polar, and a husband with aspergers syndrome. I really needed to talk with people who will pray for me and not judge me.

thank you for your sweet note. I am so glad it was helpful for you! If you have time, could you write a sentence or two up at Amazon about it too? It helps us soooo much in helping people find us! Just put in the name of the book and scroll down to "write a review." Hope your holiday season is comforting despite everything!

Hi Lisa, It's 3:30 am and I just finished "why can't I make people understand" I couldn't put it down! It may sound weird, but thank you for your suffering, and allowing God to shine His glory through you. With a hidden illness (as you well know) it's hard to spot a "kindred soul". LOL sandra

Hi Lisa! Thank you for your message! I can't express just how much this ministry is already affecting my life positively! God is so faithful! Are you also the founder of Stephen ministries? My church has that and that was the reason I started going to the church. It is a powerful outreach and tool for the broken and hurting. The world needs more people sacrificing for the kingdom like you. It is humbling for me. XO
