Here's the short version (the about Tom page on my website has the long one): I am a Life Coach who has learned to live well with a serious chronic illness. I specialize in coaching others with chronic illnesses to do the same.
One more thing about me: because many of my clients with chronic illness are hard on themselves for not being able to do what they could before they became ill, I'm writing a book about the why and the how of self compassion. Its title is: The Life Changing Magic of Self Compassion.
What I hope to gain from this network...
I want to learn about people who can provide services my clients need and find people I can serve with my coaching.
Have you heard of Rest Ministries or HopeKeepers?
yes. I was a presenter for Chronic Illness Awareness Week in 2006 and will also be one for 2007

"I work with people with chronic illnesses to help them rediscover their dreams and live extraordinary lives."
I like that, Tom. Your site has such a warm and genuine feel to it. Praise the Lord for the wonderful work He is doing in and through your ministry! Thank you for being here!
Thank you for joining my circle of freinds here on the network. I think it's wonderful that you have been called to minister to others with chronic illness as a Christian life coach.
I believe life coaching is my calling, as well. God has provided me with opportunities to minister to people from all walks of life through nursing, coaching and Biblical counseling over the past 15+ years. But it is only recently, after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Complex in 2002, that He has spoken to my heart about coaching those with chronic illness and pain. I am beginning to believe that this may become my main focus of ministry in the months and years ahead. I am continuing to pray for His guidance in this area and am open to the knowledge, input and counsel of others in the field, like yourself.
I also look forward to fellowship with others in this network. I hope to get to know you and your ministry better in the days ahead and am planning to visit your website this evening. What you have shared in your profile is encouraging, including the news of the upcoming book God has laid on your heart. I pray His continued guidance and blessings upon the project.
Until later, take care and may God bless you abundantly!
Angela
