Reflections on How People Respond to Visual “Pain” Experiences

It had been many weeks since I have been to church. My rheumatoid arthritis had been flaring for months now. I had been off of my main medication since August of 2008 due to infections and then pending surgery. While my husband and son left on Sunday mornings I would attempt to log on [...]

Reflections From RM Founder While Recovering From 4 Joint Replacements

Thank you so much for your prayers and encouraging e-mails that I have received since my hand surgery on November 4, 2009. I had the 4 knuckles that connect my fingers to my hand replaced with silicone joint replacements, due to their disintegration from rheumatoid arthritis which I have lived with for 16 years. This [...]

Welcome!

We are so glad you are here and hope you will share about this network with others you know in health/illness ministry. Let us encourage one another, share resources so our efforts can multiple.

Matthew 9:37-38 says, "Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'” This is so true in disability ministry.

Together we can make such an impact in the lives of those who are hurting. If you know of information that has a "feed" like a great blog or other resource, please let us know so we can share it with others.

Calendar of Events

This is a calendar of events that are Illness/Disability/Caregiving/Mental Illness-related, preferably with a Christian foundation. They should somehow serve those who serve those with illness, disability, etc. and not just be for the general public.

We want to list as many as possible to be THE PLACE for people to find an event near them. So please list your event! Email us the event name, location, date and web site for more information EXACTLY how it should appear on the calendar. And send Just the basics--do not send flyers or long emails full of details or your event will not be listed. Or if you use Google Calendars we can combine your events with ours. Just let us know.
